You, the parent, has an important part of your child's success in the Let's Play Music program. (Read more about it on the LPM blog here.) During class time, parent and child bond through engaging songs and games, smoothing the way for successful practice time at home. That's right, during the first year parents attend and participate in class with their child without siblings* every other week. During subsequent years, a parent attends once a month. In addition, parents help with theory homework and see that short, comfortable practice time happens each day.
By registering for the first year of Let's Play Music, it is presumed the student will complete all three years in my studio. Please read basic information about the 2nd and 3rd LPM years here on my blog AND be sure to explore the official Let's Play Music site for videos and resources!
*Young babies in infant seats are welcome to class with parents
Registration
When registering, please identify your 1st or 2nd, class time choices (or impossible) when you register. I will do my best to accommodate your first choice of class time and will contact you a few weeks before classes begin to notify you of class time. Our Let's Play Music classes run with the normal school year August/Sept- May. Email me to request a printable registration form by email or I can get you a hard copy if that works better.. If your child is 3 this year I would suggest you register them in the Sound beginnings classes. You will love them! If your child is 4 and you aren't quite sure about the 1st year of Let's Play Music just yet, Sound Beginnings is a great start!
Classes: Held Once a week throughout the school year, parent attends every other week, my class options for Fall 2013 are Tuesday 4 pm or Thursday 5 pm
Recital: in May, TBA
Student Age: Beginning in the Fall of 2013, 1st Year Registration will be open to children ages 4-6 only
Class Size and Duration: 4-6 children, 45 minutes long
Tuition: $180 per semester (there are 2 Fall & Winter) OR four $45 monthly installments each semester (every 4 weeks)
Registration and Materials Fee:
$88 for entire year (includes set of Tone Bells, Home Study Notebook, Tote bag and two Home Study CDs).
*Total deposit $103 (materials fee & a $15 registration fee)
*For additional siblings, fee is $24
